How does Revive calculate what my home is worth now vs. after renovation?

How Revive determines current and projected market value

One of the first steps in the Renovate to Sell journey is collaborating with your agent and understanding your home’s current market value and estimating what it could sell for after improvements. This helps you make informed decisions—and ensures every dollar spent on renovation is working toward a higher return.

At Revive, we take a data-backed and market-specific approach—not guesswork.

We look at your home’s condition today and compare it to recent sales of similar homes nearby (also known as “comps”). We factor in:

  • Location and square footage
  • Number of bed and baths
  • Lot size and layout
  • Overall condition and finishes
  • Market trends and demand in your area

Step 2: Next, we assess how much more your home could sell for if key upgrades were made. We don’t just guess—we:

  • Analyze recent sales of fully updated or turnkey homes in your area
  • Use neighborhood-specific data and buyer behavior insights
  • Consider ROI-driven upgrades that have proven value in your market (not just what “looks nice”)

This creates your After Renovation Value (ARV)—an estimate of what your home could sell for if renovated with our recommended scope.
