Before any work begins and before you sign anything, Revive presents you with a complete renovation plan for your review. This plan gives you a clear picture of what is being proposed, what it will cost, and what your home is projected to be worth after renovation.
What the Plan IncludesYour renovation plan is built specifically for your home and your market. It typically covers:
- A current as-is value estimate for your home
- A projected after-repair value (ARV) based on recent comparable sales in your area
- A recommended scope of work -- the specific renovations Revive is proposing
- A fixed budget for the renovation
- The expected return on the renovation investment
Revive's recommendations are shaped by real market data, not guesswork. The scope focuses on improvements that are most likely to increase buyer appeal and sale price in your specific area. Unnecessary work is left out -- every line item is chosen because it is expected to generate a return.
You are not locked into a generic renovation package. The plan is tailored to your home, and you have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any part of the scope before moving forward.
No Cost to Receive a Proposal
There is no charge to have Revive evaluate your property and prepare a proposal. Receiving a proposal does not obligate you to move forward. If you decide to proceed beyond the proposal stage, additional due diligence activities may be required, some of which may involve costs that will be communicated in advance.
If you are satisfied with the plan and want to proceed, the next step is formally approving the project—reviewing the final documents, meeting the licensed third-party contractor for your project, and signing the necessary agreements so Revive and contractor can begin preparing for the renovation.
Approve the ProjectSign off on the plan and Revive prepares everything to begin.
Approving the project is the step where you formally agree to move forward with the renovation. At this point, the scope and budget have already been reviewed and discussed, and a licensed, in-network contractor is matched to your project -- this step is about confirming the details, signing the necessary agreements, and getting the project into the preparation phase.
What Gets Reviewed Before SigningBefore signing, you will have a final opportunity to go over:
- The complete scope of work -- every item included in the renovation plan
- The fixed budget -- the total cost of the renovation that will be deferred until sale
- The terms of the deferred payment -- how and when the renovation is repaid at closing
- The project timeline -- an expected start date and completion window
Renovate to Sell is a pay-later program. You do not pay anything upfront to start the renovation. Revive and the contractor defer the cost of the services until your home sells. Repayment comes out of your closing proceeds -- there is no interest and no hidden fees. The costs are fully transparent and agreed to before work begins.
What You Are ApprovingYour signature authorizes Revive and contractor to proceed with the agreed renovation scope. No work outside of that scope will be completed without a separate conversation and your explicit approval. The scope you sign off on is what gets built.
What Revive Does After ApprovalOnce the project is approved, Revive begins the preparation work behind the scenes:
- Materials and fixtures are sourced according to the approved plan
- A project start date is confirmed with you and the contractor
Most projects begin within 10 days of approval.
